ROAD NETWORK Trade with other municipalities is facilitated by an efficient road network. Paniqui has a combined total road network of more or less 215.33280 km. of National, Provincial, Municipal and Barangay roads. BRIDGES Concreted National Bridges 535 L.M., Concreted Provincial Bridges 390 L.M., Concreted Barangay Bridges 50 L.M., Wood overflow Bridge 20 L.M.
FLOOD CONTROL AND DRAINAGE
The Municipality is maintaining a total of 16,451.63 mts. drainage canal to control flooding in the flooding in the Poblacion . About 71.16% had been constructed of CHB open and closed flume. A flood control dike was also constructed on the left and right side of the Tarlac river. POWER
All the barangays are already energized. Source of electricity is provided by TARELCO I. TARELCO is provided by 10MVA, 2MVA, 5 MVA substation and is being fed by the National Power Corp oration WATER
The Paniqui Water District is the source of water in the Poblacion area including some Barangays like Estacion, Matalapitap, Canan, Manaois, Apulid, Tablang, Samput, Carino, Abogado, Coral, Acocolao, Cabayaoasan, Cayanga, Patalan and Salumague. Deepwells is the source of water in other barangays.
COMMUNICATION
Communication services within and outside Paniqui is provided by PLDT, Bayantel, Two-way radio, Philpost, Butel, LBC, JRS,Internet/E-mail, and Digitel Landline.PILTEL tower and SMART/GLOBE tower are installed in barangays Samput,Cayanga and Patalan, respectively.
TRANSPORTATION Primary means of transportation in the Poblacion area are tricycles. Neighboring municipalities are being served by passenger jeepneys and mini buses. Other types of transportation passing Paniqui are Victory Liner, Fivestar, Dagupan Bus, Partas, Santrans, FermEx,Viron Transit and many others
SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE The Don Juan Cojuangco Memorial Health Center, Multipurpose Barangay Halls, Day Care Centers, Children Playground, Municipal Gym, Convention Center, Municipal Jail, Municipal Building, Puericulture Center, PNP Building, School Buildings; Covered Courts and others.
SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT Garbage collection is done twice a day from designated collection point in the market place, public plaza, municipal streets, in front of residential areas in the Poblacion. In the market compound, stallholders are required to maintain cleanliness, sweeping dirt and stalling their individual trash cans. There are 36 municipal aides with their assigned areas to attend to in the marketplace, public plaza, municipal building compound and other built-up areas. A 1,000 hectare lot owned by the LGU serves as a controlled dumpsite in Brgy. Canan and another 1.7 hectare lot purchased by the LGU located at Brgy. Dapdap. |
