Health Care

The different health services provided in the community are Medical and Dental Care, Communicable Service Control, Environmental Health Sanitation, Public Health Education, Public Health Nursing of Vital Statistics and Maternal and Child Health Family and Nutrition.

    The Rural Health Unit has One (1) Ambulance acquired in 2006 thru the effort of Mayor Elpidio D. Ibarra, Vice Mayor Joy Gilbert R. Lamorena and Sangguniang Bayan Members use for transporting emergency patient to the Tarlac Provincial Hospital or to other big private hospitals which cannot be attended by local practitioners.

    There are four private hospitals and around 13 clinics in the municipality with a total of 39 rooms and 70 beds capacity. Eleven clinics are specializing in general practice. The two are specializing in OB Gyne, three are specializing in Pediatricts and one practices in EENT, one practices in dermatology. With regards with dental services, the LGU has one public dentist and seven private dentist.
 

Vital Statistics

Paniqui has two Rural Health Unit RHU I is situated at the Municipal Compound. RHU II is situated at Balaoang. The two RHU serves the constituents of Paniqui thru its daily consultation and gives free medicine. As an extension of the Health Services, the LGU of Paniqui has opened its birthing station situated at the Municipal Compound where expectant mother can avail safe delivery.

     One of the parameters used by health authorities to get measure of the health authorities is to get a measure of the health status in Paniqui is the crude Birth rate and the crude Death Rate. All concerned offices and agencies both public and private conduct a continuing campaigns in combating all forms of diseases so that population of Paniqui has become actively aware of health care. Considering the ever changing social trends, the increasing demands for social services, justice, health and nutrition the problems of population explosion.

      Malnutrition as well as the high risk of diseases, it is imperative for the government and the private sector to provide measures and safeguards for the future well-being of the populace.

      Acute upper respiratory tract inspection continues to be the top cause of morbidity for lower age group and even in the total population hypertensive vascular disease is the leading cause of mortality for all ages.

      The leading cause of mortality among infant is sepsis neonatorum followed by prematurity, pneumonia and congenital heart disease in the order.

 
Environment
 
To combat early mortality among the young age, the local RHU has always initiated immunization among the 0-6 years pre-school children. Likewise, the Local Government of Paniqui thru the cooperation of National Government installed units of deepwells in 29 Public Elementary Schools purposely to provide potable drinking water to school children.

In addition, the DPWH and the Local Government installed communal water system in different barangays.
