Social Welfare
The Office of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer is on the front line attending to the needs of the less fortunate members of the community with the following projects:

  • The Protection or Rehabilitation of street children - These children were being taken cared off by Day Care Workers. These children were trained about Personality, Leadership and Productivity Skills.
  • Assistance to socially disadvantage families which the office holds session for parental guidance to families with special cases so that they may have a better understanding of their rules as parent or head of families.                                                                                           
  • Assitance to socially disadvantage community which the office is tapping and organizing family heads volunteers in all the barangay for them to become effective in community work during times of disasters, food for work, supplemental feeding and other similar social work.

  • Promotion of the Welfare of socially disadvantage women - These are special cases of women who are abandoned by their partners, married women, abused or battered by husband or fly-by-night women. They are provided with couseling and productive skills development.

  • Rehabilitation of the disabled and assistance for relief of victims of natural calamities.The DSWD extend relief goods to calamity victims in identified evacuation centers. They also conducted feeding to under-nourished childrem of pre-school age in targeted barangays. They also extend financial assistance to families of crisis situations like burial assistance, purchase of medicinces, hospitalization and others.
